I honestly don't know ... I would say I'm more honest online, but then at the same time I rarely share anything about myself online. I mean, sure I have a facebook and myspace, but I'm like hyper aware of the whole once something is said online it's there forever and for all to see, so I'm very cautious of the things I say.
Then again, I'm a million times more creative on the interweb (btw, I think "interweb" is totally my current favorite word, I use it every chance I get ... just thought I'd share that). I always get very nervous whenever I have to do anything photoshop related for work ... I mean, it's kinda pathetic, I'm always very aware if someone is looking over my shoulder while I work and I'm always worried it wont be good enough, or it wont be what they are looking for (I mean for fucks sake, I would LOVE to do this stuff professionally, but I think I'd go crazy because I would never think what I did was good enough). For some reason though online I can just let it flow. Not everything I post here is the best work I've ever done, and that's OK by me. If people don't like what I create or my style, they can skip over it and go on to one of the million other graphics related journals out there.
It's freeing in a way, not necessarily knowing the person on the other end of the internet. I don't have to deal with that person on a day to day basis. I like having this outlet. I'm very happy to have grown up with this online world and all that it has to offer :)
